Starfield Will Have A Vast Universe To Explore

Starfield promises to deliver an expansive universe, featuring not only the largest city ever created by Bethesda but also an impressive roster of over 1,000 planets waiting to be discovered. However, while the number of planets might be astronomical, it’s important to note that only around 100 of them are expected to host various forms of life. Bethesda’s director, Todd Howard, explains that the team aimed for a balance between barren worlds and planets capable of sustaining diverse life.

“For us, we view it as giving you [choices] when you look at a system. Here’s the menu of things you could do. Like science, we were pushing it about 10% of those planets have life on them. We were pushing it to the edge. What do people think about what planets are in that Goldilocks zone versus planets that have resources? I think it is a moment when you land on some of these barren planets, and again we will generate certain things for you to find on them…I think there’s a certain beauty to landing on those and feeling I’m one of the only people or the only person to ever visit this planet,”

In addition to the vast expanse of space to explore, Starfield also offers players the opportunity to engage in romantic relationships within the game. However, recent discussions among fans have surfaced regarding the number of romance options available. Many fans are left feeling divided about the abundance of romantic relationships being offered in the game highlighting the importance of meaningful character interactions.

Starfield Will Not Be Released On PlayStation

One notable aspect surrounding Starfield‘s release is its exclusivity to Xbox and PC platforms. With Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda, the game will not be available on PlayStation consoles. This decision has disappointed PlayStation fans who were hoping to embark on the interstellar adventure. While Bethesda has traditionally released its RPGs on multiple platforms, the exclusive nature of Starfield underscores the changing landscape of gaming following the acquisition, leaving PlayStation owners without the opportunity to experience this highly anticipated game.
