Bethesda’s masterpiece, Starfield, was released for early access gamers a couple of days back on the 1st of this month and players have already shared a lot of impressive first-hand experience. The interstellar space adventure has its share of some wonderful spaceships for players to choose from before they head out to explore all the planets. For a game that boasts over 1000 planets for gamers to explore, players must be keen on building their fleet.
It has been confirmed that players can own multiple ships in the game, however, only one of the ships can be active at a given time. All about the Starfield ships can be found below.
Starfield Performance Detailed By Early Access Gamers
Starfield has already been getting good reviews as gamers who purchased the Constellation Edition or the Premium Edition got early access to the game on the 1st of this month. Right from the get-go, gamers on both the consoles and desktops have been sharing their views on Starfield‘s incredible visuals and solid performance. The game is locked to 30fps on both Xbox Series consoles with Series X players able to play the game at 4K, while Series S players can play Starfield at a maximum resolution of 2K.

The frame rate isn’t locked for desktop gamers though, where the game is said to be visually stunning with the game so far getting near-perfect to high scores so far, everywhere. The game looks like a finished product shipped by Bethesda Studios who have faced backlash for having released buggy games in the past. Starfield is a massive game, with 1000 planets for gamers to explore, and to do so, players will need to a ship! Below are the best Starfield ship builds, ranked, that players must look forward to in the game.

10) Frontier
The Frontier is the first ship that space adventurers in the game acquire in Starfield. The ship can be fully customized and resembles a pet standing on its legs. The Frontier’s engine is a White Dwarf 2000. The ship has three weapons, the Dragon 221P MW pulse laser, Mauler 104L cannon, Atlatl 270A missile launcher, and a 10S Protector shield generator.
9) Wide Frontier
A customized version of the Frontier ship in Starfield, the Wide Frontier sports a massive body and a high shield. Gamers who prefer wide spaceships would prefer this customization to have a wider defensive stance. Having a wider ship will hold more cargo as well, and with all the colors available from the original Frontier ship, the ship can be made to look visually amazing too.
8) HMS Platypus
A Starfield ship, aptly named HMS Platypus, resembles a platypus as the ship’s control room resembles the real-life animal’s long bill. The ship is one of the most favored ships of Jamie Mallory, the Producer at Bethesda Game Studios. It’s quite a functional ship as it has enough cargo space, and is perfect for gamers who look to have a design inspired by animals.
7) Mech ship
A ship that looks straight out of a Michael Bay movie, the Mech Ship is one of the tallest ships in the game. The game’s customization tools are helping gamers create massive ships and it’s not too long before another design towers over this and dwarfs the Mech Ship. As a sci-fi game, gamers will be looking to get inspired and create more ridiculous but functional ships in the game.
6) Massive Tank
One of the ships that caught everyone’s attention at the glimpses shown off at Gamescom last month was the tank-inspired ship, which looked massive. To scale, there was even a human standing on top of the ship who could have been easily missed. This was a ship that was a true cargo holder and would be one hell of a ship to take off and land on all the different planets in the game.
5) Deep red custom ship
Another customized ship to be inspired from in Starfield, the ship has a sleek and elegant design. While the colors can vary as per player preference, the ship’s design is definitely worth considering for both cargo hold and for an aerodynamic design that looks like a rocket straight out of a Star Wars movie.
4) Millennium Falcon
Speaking of Star Wars, here’s a design inspired by one of the most famous sci-fi ships, the Millenium Falcon, and is aptly named after the ship too. While the heavily customized ship doesn’t have an uncanny resemblance to the famous Falcon, there are design elements that look quite inspired, including a whole lot of external arsenal as well.
3) Firefly Serenity
This is an obvious design but it’s yet to be recreated in Starfield. Serenity, the famous spacecraft from the sci-fi TV series, Firefly, could be remade in Starfield, just as the Millenium Falcon-inspired spaceship above. To most sci-fi lovers, Serenity is a memorable ship and will fit right in, with Starfield‘s fleet of ships as players look to conquer outer space in their fleet of ships.
2) The Conqueror
Aptly named, the ship’s massive size strikes a balance between form and function. The ship’s design appeals to players who prefer a ship that resembles the “Tank” as mentioned above, while also keeping a straightforward design. The ship can be further customized to include more arsenal on the exterior just as in the Millenium Falcon.

1) Watchdog II
It is a ship that is brilliant to have during battles and also while exploring deep space. Given the ship’s assortment of arsenal and sensors and the stealth capability, the ship can be used to hack, attack, and infiltrate targets, making it one of the must-have ships in the game. The ship is made available for gamers who pre-ordered the game.
There will be no doubt quite a lot of ships inspired by many more sci-fi movies and series from the past. Starfield goes Live for all gamers who purchased the Standard Edition of the game on the 6th of this month, which is just 3 days away.
