Revealing news for desktop gamers as the Starfield PC specs have been disclosed, and they are humongous to say the least! These include the high-performance ones which players will want to use to ensure that they are getting the most out of their intergalactic experience.
With Starfield due to release in only a matter of weeks, the level of excitement with gaming fans is palatable. This is the first new universe game created by Bethesda in over 25 years, given their work with the Elder Scrolls and Fallout franchises.
But unfortunately for PlayStation fans, this title is exclusive to Xbox Series X/S and of course, PC. As you can imagine, this decision has not gone down well with PS owners who can only look on as their rivals release a game which could possibly be a GOTY contender.
Starfield PC Specs: What you need to know
Unfortunately for Xbox players, their version of Starfield will be limited to ensure graphic fidelity. This is not an issue for PC players as they will experience more freedom with the performance of the game and AMD recently disclosed the specs which are required to unlock the full potential of this title.
Starfield’s PC performance was broken down into three categories by AMD;
Heroic/1080p, Epic/1440p, Legendary/4K
They also went further in disclosing what CPU they will need for accessing these graphic settings.
For Heroic – 1080p – AMD Ryzen™ 5 7600 CPU, AMD Radeon™ RX 7600 GPU
For Epic – 1440p – AMD Ryzen™ 7 7700X CPU, AMD Radeon™ RX 6800 Series GPU
For Legendary – 4K – AMD Ryzen™ 7 7800X3D CPU, AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 XT GPU
Starfield PC Specs: Final thoughts
One thing we should note is according to the Steam product page for Starfield, the Specs listed are different in what could be considered more financially manageable for players. And it could be seen that the Specs disclosed by AMD are not necessarily definitive.
That being said, we are all looking forward to the release of Starfield. The sheer scale of game is something to behold and given that Bethesda have stated that this promises to be their biggest title ever, it’s no wonder. With each of the 1000 reported to have a map which is larger than that of Skyrim, it may may make up for the fact that the main storyline is somewhat on the short side. But the general consensus amongst fans is that the exploration of worlds is going to be something to behold. Especially if you’re experiencing it in 4K!
