Starfield Launch Event Leaks Waaaaay Early

It seems like the Starfield launch event is the latest victim of getting leaked on the Internet way earlier than its planned official announcement. Starfield is easily one of the most hyped video game releases of the year, and fans just cannot wait any longer to finally get their hands on the highly anticipated title. To escalate fans’ excitement even further, there has been a recent online leak regarding the game’s “surprise” special launch event.

The Starfield launch event was teased in a Twitter (or X) post by a verified user called Karim Jovian. In their post, they basically say that they have spoken with a “confidential source” from Microsoft itself, so the news seems to be quite legit. According to the poster, Microsoft has said that they are planning an “interactive” event to finally launch and celebrate one of the most anticipated games of modern times.

Additionally, Karim claims that the mentioned confidential source was apparently quite “excited” about the Starfield launch event and everything that comes along with the game’s release. Of course, there is always a possibility for leaks like these to be completely and utterly false with absolutely no authenticity, so we would advise taking this news with a pinch of salt. Until we actually get an official announcement from Bethesda itself, we just can’t be sure about how true all of this really is.

However, when one looks back at Bethesda’s history with past releases of huge titles, this news about the supposed Starfield launch event seems quite plausible. You can check out the original post by Karim Jovian below:

Fans React to the Starfield Launch Event Leak

Naturally, the leak about the Starfield launch has sparked various discussions on different online platforms, including, of course, Reddit. One Redditor said that it was obvious that Bethesda and Microsoft were never “going to downplay” the release of one of their most ambitious titles. Another user on the platform wondered if the game will be heavily featured at the upcoming Gamescon and if the studio will let “people choose what the person playing does next,” similar to how the launch event for Fallout 4 was handled.

The latter response to the Starfield launch makes much more sense considering how this year’s Gamescon is just around the corner and will take place later this month, from August 23 to 27. The much-awaited convention seems like the perfect stage to showcase and launch one of the biggest video games of 2023. While some fans are actually coming up with possible ways about how the launch will be handled, there are obviously others who are letting their excitement get the best of them, saying things like how the developer is going to send “several lucky fans into space” for a truly immersive experience.

In any case, the leak about the Starfield launch has definitely added even more layers to a lot of people’s excitement about the game. Are you looking forward to playing Starfield when it comes out on September 6? Let us know in the comments!
