Tons of new Starfield info has come out in the wake of a recent Q&A with Bethesda. In a rundown posted by known scooper Klobrille on Twitter. In the slurry of info released, it was revealed that a lot of popular features from past Bethesda games will make a return, as well as some very interesting new ones that will add to the depth and immersion of the highly anticipated space-faring RPG.

One piece of Starfield info that fans may find exciting is that there will be housing opportunities in all major cities for the player. Some will require you to purchase them from their landowners in-game, so as long as your journey in the game leads to a lot of in-game money, you could become a happy homeowner in no time. Some, however, will be given as rewards for completing specific questlines and will thus require a more dedicated path to live in.
Starfield Info Points Toward a Sprawling Game
In addition to the homeownership options, which sound reminiscent of those in Skyrim, further new bits of Starfield info reveal another major Skyrim feature will return: jail. Apparently, if you commit a crime in the game you can either pay a fine or go to jail when the authorities catch and arrest you. Or, you can try to resist and escape. This calls back to Skyrim, where being thrown in jail could also lead to a fun escape sequence if you so desired. As Klobrille states, there are civilizations, governments, and laws present in the Settled Systems.
Some of these laws are related to items that will be considered “contraband,” meaning if you wish to bring these with you past certain security ships in orbit of major settlements, you’ll need to hide them in specialized modules on your ship to keep from alerting the authorities. Players looking to live the space pirate life such as myself will have a lot to look out for, it seems.

In addition, there will be a lot of story options in the game. All playable factions will apparently be able to be “completed independently,” and there will be over 20 named characters who can come along with you as crew members aboard your ship, each with their own unique “backgrounds, strengths, weaknesses, and [stories.]” Companions will also “have a huge role in the game” as they will be “part of the main story,” so they won’t simply be there to be there.
