Starfield isn’t even out yet for those who purchased the game’s Standard Edition but those with early access have already beaten the game in all possible ways. Gamers who purchased the Constellation Edition or the Premium Edition got early access to the game on the 1st of this month, and players have been completing the game already, revealing a ton more details each passing day. One such fine detail to be coming out of the game is surprisingly about a glitch in the game.
Bethesda’s well-polished release of Starfield left the game with nearly no bugs or glitches that players have faced so far, unlike past Bethesda games. Despite their best efforts, however, a glitch has been spotted that seems to cut down the mining time in the game, by half! Mining is one of the major aspects of Starfield, so a glitch that helps them get the job done quickly is being shared across social media platforms.

Bethesda’s Interstellar Space Adventure, Starfield, Has Mining as a Core Action
Starfield has mining at its center as players will have to mine for resources to craft and upgrade their gear and even build outposts. Players will need to use their cutter when mining, with the mined resource being added to the player’s cargo directly. The cutter will let players mine as much as possible, with short breaks in between, as the cutter regenerates its energy automatically. On longer mining trips, players can also bring along a companion to trade resources and carry more resources.
Players can also opt to increase their own capacity to carry resources and their cargo capacity if they choose to mine alone. Each resource collected can be used to mod weapons and spacesuits or research new upgrades or they can even be sold for credits, if players like to.

Gamer Finds Glitch That Allows Starfield Gamers To Cut Down Mining Time By Half
Recently, a Twitch streamer, Dan, popularly known by his handle, DansGaming, shared a helpful tip that makes use of a glitch in the Cutter that players use to mine resources. Players would usually use either the left mouse button on their keyboards or the right-trigger button on their controller to mine resources. It takes a few seconds to mine resources this way, but with the glitch explained by Dan, players can mine instantly.

As Dan explains in his gameplay above, players just need to keep the right click on their mouse or the left trigger on their controller pressed before they use the fire button to mine. Dan showed how doing so helps players almost instantly mine their resources. This can come in handy when mining a large area, as it takes a considerable amount of time for players to mine resources and use them to upgrade or build as required.
Total Campaign Length Revealed, Completionist Will Spend Considerable Hours, Others Not As Much
While speedrunners have already beaten the game in three hours, completionists who look to complete every single side-quest apart from the main campaign, better be ready to put in long hours. Starfield‘s main story requires anywhere between 15 to 20 hours to beat the game. Players looking to complete the main story along with the side-quests will need to spend more than double the time as it takes an average of 52 hours to complete. Completionists looking to cover every aspect of the game will require more than 180 hours.
These hours have been derived from polls that players took part in, after having completed the game in each of these modes. The timing will vary as each player will have their own pace and style when it comes to playing a game. Starfield goes Live globally tomorrow, the 6th of September for gamers who purchased the Standard Edition.
