As the release date for Starfield approaches, there are going to be leaks that will appear over the last few days as players wait for its release, but not to the extent that there have been recently. There have been a lot of leaks through a lot of different sources, which has annoyed the developers and is completely understandable. They have put a lot of hard work into Starfield and seeing it leaked out before it releases has caused quite a lot of issues for the developers.

Over the past few days, Starfield has been having a rather eventful time as there have been multiple leaks through different media. The most recent are screenshots for messages in-game from players who have played for numerous hours. These gamers either should have been under an NDA or have broken their NDA. These players have even been sharing the in-game achievements, which can be earned throughout gameplay.

Although these leaks couldn’t hurt the game’s release, as many players would love to see these sorts of leaks to prepare, it is still frustrating to developers. Luckily, they aren’t story-based leaks, which would upset many players since no one wants to see spoilers regarding the story. Even though the leaks aren’t majorly affecting Starfield and people’s opinion of it, there are many who hate them. And currently the ones frustrated the most are the executives working on Starfield at this moment in time.

Why Are Starfield’s Executives Annoyed at These Leaks?

Broken Starfield NDAs appear to be one of the reasons why the game has seen so many leaks.
Broken Starfield NDAs appear to be one of the reasons why the game has seen so many leaks.

Since Starfield is one of the biggest releases that will be coming this year, it has enticed a lot of gamers who are eagerly awaiting to see the game once it releases. But there are those who have been leaking Starfield, which has caused the developers to become quite annoyed. Leaks are becoming a much more common thing in the gaming industry, in this day and age, and can cause a lot of grief for developers. They could also take away the excitement for players who are awaiting the game’s release.

As Starfield is such a big and well-known game, there are numerous people involved with the game regarding its development and its advertisement. However, Bethesda has also made a mistake by sending review codes to lesser-known personalities who may not be familiar with NDAs and could accidentally break them without even realizing. So, it has caused a lot of issues for Bethesda, but as stated by Matt Frary:

Everyone knows I don’t like leaks. Media covering someone’s leak I like even less. When the big outlets do it to get around embargoes they have on their own code? Oh, I really don’t like that.”

This has shown his dislike for leaks, and what issues it can cause for companies like Bethesda.
