Earlier reports suggested that Foxx’s family is preparing for the worst-case scenario, claiming that he has been hospitalized for almost a month. However, his daughter denied such claims, saying that it’s not true and that the No Way Home actor has already been discharged from the hospital.
Nothing much has been revealed about what actually happened to Foxx, and it was claimed that he suffered a “medical condition.” While his family made sure not to reveal much about his health, the sports star Mike Tyson revealed details about his condition while talking about his biopic, which is expected to feature the Day Shift star.
Mike Tyson Reveals Jamie Foxx’s Medical Condition
Former professional boxer Mike Tyson recently joined Patrick Bet-David on the PBD podcast. While talking about his friend and Hollywood star Jamie Foxx, he unintentionally revealed a bit of sensitive information about the actor’s medical condition.
The sports star revealed that Foxx was not feeling well and mentioned that “there’s a stroke.” However, considering the actor’s family has been trying to keep things private about his health, Tyson also attempted to explain his comments saying that he doesn’t really know what happened to the Just Mercy actor.
“I don’t know what happened to him,” he said before adding, “Hey, listen, if we don’t know about it by now, they don’t want us to know.” The former boxer’s statement has led many to believe that the medical condition Foxx reportedly suffered last month could be a stroke. Tyson also shared how Foxx’s health issues could affect his casting in the sports star’s biopic.
Jamie Foxx Could Still Lead the Mike Tyson Biopic
Jamie Foxx has been in talks to star as Mike Tyson in his biopic. The former boxer has also expressed that he wants the Collateral actor to portray him on screen. However, since he suffered a medical condition last month, there has been speculation about whether he would be able to play his character or not.
During his appearance on the PBD podcast, Tyson shared that there is still a “strong possibility” that he could star in his biopic. He said,
“I don’t know what’s gonna happen now but it’s a strong possibility. Because Jamie is closer to my age so in order to make him do they were going to do what they did with Benjamin Button.”
Mike Tyson himself saying that the actor could still star in his biopic does come as a breather to fans, who have been looking forward to Foxx playing the boxing legend on screen. The Project Power star is reportedly receiving physical rehabilitation treatment in Chicago.
