At this point, nothing about Spider-Man 3 surprises us anymore. Earlier in September, we at FandomWire had confirmed that the untitled Spider-Man 3 movie was setting up the first-ever live-action Spider-Verse storyline with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield reprising their roles from the previous Spider-Man movies. Since then, the cast of the movie has expanded incredibly with Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina confirmed to return and Charlie Cox reported to be seen in the sets.

As the untitled Spider-Man 3 movie has entered production and began filming in Atlanta, eagle-eyed fans are pretty much expected to hound the sets to find new information regarding the movie. Despite the filmmakers’ best efforts, a few crucial details are bound to leak to the public. Earlier this month, set photos from Spider-Man 3 had confirmed that the movie is set during Christmas. But now, the latest set photo has revealed a popular villain from the Spider-Man games and comics to be a part of the movie in some capacity.
NEWS
In the recently leaked image from the sets of Spider-Man 3, a van can be spotted with the acronym F.E.A.S.T. written over it. F.E.A.S.T. stands for Food, Emergency, Aid, Shelter, and Training. While this might look like just another non-profit organization trying to do some good, fans of the Spider-Man games and the comics are probably in for a ride.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
In the comics, F.E.A.S.T. is a non-profit organization where both Aunt May and Miles Morales are known to volunteer. While it might be too early for Miles Morales to make his appearance in the movie, Aunt May’s involvement with F.E.A.S.T. is what makes this latest discovery so much interesting.
F.E.A.S.T. is headed by Martin Li, a kind-hearted and generous man who is known for his humility. However, Li harbors a dark secret which is a result of an illegal experiment that was done on him by a crime syndicate. The experiment created two different personas within the individual; Martin Li and Mister Negative. While Martin Li is known for his good deeds, Mister Negative is the culmination of his darker instincts and is hellbent on becoming the Kingpin of Chinatown’s Crime. As Mister Negative, he has incredible healing powers that can heal cancerous growth, mind control, superhuman strength, and the ability to charge melee weapons with his electricity. In the comics, the origin of Mister Negative’s powers is attributed to the Darkforce, the same entity responsible for Cloak and Vanisher.

As the movie is set during Christmas, it makes sense for a non-profit organization like F.E.A.S.T. to appear in the movie. Though it is unclear if Mister Negative will actually appear in the movie, Spider-Man 3 can actually set-up the antagonist for future movies, considering his popularity due to PlayStation’s Spider-Man game.
Spider-Man 3 is scheduled to release on 17th December, 2021.
