Jennifer Aniston is among the crowd of popular people who think Superhero movies are ‘not movies’ and are only bringing ‘cinema’ down with their dominant nature. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but Blue Beetle star Xolo Maridueña is here to prove her and others like her wrong.
While Aniston ‘belittled’ superhero movies like Marvel’s or DC’s as just acting in front of a green screen, Xolo Maridueña was quick to point out that superhero movies are much more than shooting in front of green screens or wearing an elaborate costume.

Xolo Maridueña is all set to make history as he stars as Dc’s first Latino superhero in a stand-alone film. Starring in this historic role is exciting for Maridueña, and he seems to be enjoying every second of it. Being a young superhero he was anticipating wearing a ‘superhero’ suit, which is said to be the opposite of comfortable, as well as fearful about being in front of the green screen all the time, a very popular perception. Thankfully both of his fears were proved wrong,
“I didn’t consider myself as someone who shines in a space where I had to do a lot of imagining. With ‘Cobra Kai,’ I love that we get to do the stunts and be immersed in the world, but, with this movie, we were on a green screen for like two days. So much of it was tangible.”
Maridueña stated quenching all rumors of superhero movies being green screen movies. And thus, proving actors and people like the FRIENDS star, who tend to think superhero movies are lesser than other kinds of movies.
Jennifer Aniston Is Not Fond Of Superhero Movies
A pretty common misconception of superhero movies being not worthy of being called cinema is a popular cult in the film industry. A cult that is followed by some of our favorite actors as well such as Jennifer Aniston. The popular actress thinks the experience of cinema has been on the decline ever since superhero movies started dominating the big screens.
“You’re seeing what’s available out there and it’s just diminishing and diminishing in terms of, it’s big Marvel movies. Or things that I’m not just asked to do or really that interested in living in a green screen.”
Well everyone has opinions and they certainly are entitled to have them.
