Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 ended on 27th March 2021. It was a great debut season for the new anime. Fans loved it and was waiting for season 2. The manga went for a steady pace, but there was no sign of the second season. Fans got the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie in 2021, but there was no news after that. Fans were losing their patience while waiting.
After almost two years, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 finally premiered on 6th July 2023. The manga readers knew how good this season was going to get. The anime lovers had their wish fulfilled to see Satoru Gojo return. Even though the fans love him, Jujutsu Kaisen creator Gege Akutami favours another character in the anime.
Gege Akutami Loves Toji Fushiguro
Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 premiered on 6 July 2023. Apart from the fans, Gege Akutami is also excited about the new season. But he is not a big fan of Satoru Gojo. This may be a surprise to many Jujutsu Kaisen fans. Instead, he is a big fan of another character who debuted in season 2. If anyone thought about Toji Fushiguro, then it is absolutely right. Toji Fushiguro is his creation, and he is head over heels for him.
In an exclusive interview, Gege Akutami said,
“Thanks for season two episode two! The production team didn’t hold back on making full use of all the details in the original manga, like how the takoyaki is supposed to call back to the Six Eyes, as well as the curse users on the boats!! The episode director Takada-san was also the one to design the sub-characters in Season 1 and the movie!! A versatile man of many talents! So badass!”
Gege Akutami is really satisfied with MAPPA. MAPPA Studios did a great job at portraying Toji Fushiguro on screen. He thanked the whole team for their effortless work and dedication to bring the manga to life. The Jujutsu Kaisen community is awestruck by Toji Fushiguro’s character and journey.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Synopsis
Jujutsu Kaisen returned after almost two years. Season 2 will be based on Satoru Gojo’s past. It will showcase how Satoru Gojo was during his Jujutsu High days as a student. Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 episode 2 teased Toji Fushiguro, the antagonist. It will show Gojo’s childhood friend Suguru Geto and how he became a villain. With powerful curses, brilliant action sequences, and bone-chilling situations, it will be a must-watch anime of 2023.
Other than that, Toji Fushiguro is there and ready to take on Satoru Gojo. Gege Akutami prefers Toji Fushiguro over Satoru Gojo. So it will be interesting to watch who wins when both clash.
