Day Shift is a lift-off for Snoop Dogg’s acting career
Following the storyline of a man-on-a-mission narrative, the movie unfolds with Jamie Foxx‘s character hunting and killing vampires for a living. Humor is present in the film but not up to the par of several others. Snoop Dogg appears as a cowboy-like version of himself called Big John Elliot. Giving several homages to the old era, the film is set in a 90s-like era and has several nostalgic things that make it all the more entertaining. From casual sexism to plausible action scenes, the movie is truly unique to watch.
The movie is directed by debutant director J.J. Perry and has received an average score of 6.2/10 on IMDB. Although Snoop Dogg’s role was small in the movie, it is very likely expected that other movies and series would likely hire the rapper, part for his fanbase and the other part for his proven acting skills that everyone appreciated in the film.
Day Shift is available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
