Over the past few weeks, actors have been submitting audition tapes for significant roles such as Clark Kent/Superman, Lois Lane, and Lex Luthor.

What Will Superman: Legacy Be About?
The plot details for Superman: Legacy remain largely under wraps, and even director James Gunn himself has revealed limited information. During his Gods and Monsters announcement, Gunn disclosed that he was only halfway through writing the script, implying that he is still in the process of shaping the story. However, one significant detail he confirmed is that Superman: Legacy will not be an origin story, distinguishing it from the original Superman and Man of Steel films. This means that when our protagonist takes flight as Superman, he will already have experience safeguarding humanity as the iconic superhero.

While the possibility of flashbacks depicting Clark’s earlier days exists, it is uncertain whether other beloved Superman characters, like his lifelong love interest Lois Lane, will make appearances in the film. Nevertheless, it is anticipated that Lois, being the top reporter at the Daily Planet, will play a crucial role, especially considering the confirmed inclusion of her colleague, photographer Jimmy Olson.
As for the supporting cast and potential villains, details remain scarce. Given that this rendition of Superman is entirely new, it is likely that the film will introduce adversaries not previously seen on the big screen, adding an element of intrigue to the narrative.
Superman: Legacy is slated for a release on July 11, 2025.
