A year after the infamous defamation trial against Johnny Depp, his ex-wife Amber Heard has finally arrived on the big screen. Last year in 2022, the Depp and Heard defamation trial was a topic of the town for a very long time. The 60-year-old actor won the case but the Aquaman actress was left with merciless trolls grilling her on social media.

To avoid all the negative chaos, the Drive Angry actress moved to Spain with her daughter. Heard’s first movie after the trial In The Fire premiered at the Taormina Film Festival on 24 June 2023.

In The Fire director Conor Allyn describes Amber Heard as a star

Johnny Depp got a 7-minute standing ovation at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival but ex-wife Amber Heard is also garnering praise from her director. Conor Allyn who is the director of Heard’s first movie after the trial In The Fire shared his experience of working with the 3 Days to Kill actress. The director of the Thriller movie talked about how the 37-year-old actress and described her as a great person. Allyn was seated for an interview with another lead actor Luca Calvani from the movie In The Fire. The Ex-Patriot actor said,

“I’m so happy that Amber went through something so awful and it didn’t change her as a person. She’s still the shining light that we explained earlier and to go through something that terrible and be able to come out the other side and be whole, well I can’t imagine it.” 

He further said,

“She’s a star and she has that light. She glows and she pulls you in and she shares it with everybody. The last person on set will feel it and feel a connection with her.” 

Allyn also mentioned that the Never Back Down actress is also very generous and encouraging. The clip of the Java Heat director praising Heard is trending on the internet. Many Heard fans are applauding the actress for maintaining her grace and strength after the trial.

Amber Heard says her new movie In The Fire is about the force of love

Before the world premiere of her movie, In The Fire Heard talked about the movie and what the movie represents. The Stepfather actress said the movie is about love crossing boundaries and it will also express the force of love. While talking about her newly released movie the actress said,

“It’s a beautiful movie about the almost supernatural effect and force of love. It is about the boundaries that love can cross and its creation, and really about the overwhelming power that love has. I don’t want to sound cheesy about it, but it’s a movie about love.”
