The actress never fails to amuse her fans and the audience at large. And once again, she seems to have shared another one of her ’embarrassing moments’ that is somehow more embarrassing than all the previous ones.
Jennifer Lawrence Mistook a Stranger for the Late Elizabeth Taylor
Jennifer Lawrence has had more than her fair share of embarrassing moments. The charismatic star has gone from tripping on almost every red carpet to dousing a beer on a fan. However, for the Passengers star, that’s just not all.
On The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in 2015, Lawrence shared one more humiliating story of hers that would leave even her non-fans amused.
“Everybody thinks they’ve witnessed my most embarrassing moments, but there’s these two really humiliating stories… that I’ve never talked about because it’s so genuinely embarrassing. But now I feel like the statute of limitations on humiliation is up, and I’m ready.”
Continuing, the Oscar-winning actress revealed how the first incident happened. In 2013, when she was at a fancy showbiz party, a friendly old lady came up and struck up a conversation with her. Now, what’s embarrassing here is that Lawrence mistook the lady for the late Elizabeth Taylor, who died back in March 2011.
“In my head, I just went, ‘This is Elizabeth Taylor’, who was dead at the time. She’s still dead. But I didn’t know that. Then my friend walks by and I grab her, and I was like, ‘This is Elizabeth Taylor!’ And she was like, ‘No it’s not!’ and I just took off running. I just sprinted, and my shoes fell off, and I hid behind this wall.”
Jennifer Lawrence was so flustered when she realized that the person she was mistaken for the late Cleopatra star was just a random stranger that she just ‘took off running’, also adding how her shoes ‘fell off’ as she sprinted and hid behind a wall. And just like that, the actress proved just how embarrassingly adorable she is.
The Time When Jennifer Lawrence Accidentally Flashed Famous Directors
If the late Elizabeth Taylor situation wasn’t humiliating enough, the Passengers actress shared another appalling story (it’s just never too much for JLaw). Talking about the other incident, Lawrence explained how it happened when she went to Paris for the very first time, where she saw filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola dining at a fancy restaurant with a massive group of people.
After a long debate, she finally gathered enough nerve to go up and introduce herself to the legendary director. Describing the incident, Jennifer Lawrence said,
“I started walking [over to Coppola] and I noticed I was barefoot, but I was like, ‘Eh, they probably won’t notice’. So I’m barefoot, and I, like, introduced myself, said, ‘Oh, I’m such a huge fan! The Godfather! Ahhhh!’ And then went on and introduced myself to the whole table, ‘Hi, I’m Jennifer Lawrence.’ They had no idea who I was. Then, I went back to my table, and [I realized] my entire dress was unzipped, and my thong was out.”
All in all, it took Lawrence all the way back from the director’s table to realize that her butt was completely visible, while she was worried about her shoes being the problem. Classic JLaw!
But irrespective of how embarrassing she can be, Jennifer Lawrence is one of the most genuine and courageous actresses in all of Hollywood, and she will always remain one of the most charming actresses ever, with fans’ love swarming her from all over the world.
