Matt Owens’ Thoughts about Nami and Emily Rudd
While talking to Netflix, Matt talks about how he feels that Nami is the smartest character in the crew till now. He said:
“She’s kind of like an older sister surrounded by a group of younger brothers. And what’s funny is: That is the dynamic that has happened on our show. That has become Emily’s position, for better or for worse, with the other Straw Hat actors.”
On the other hand, Emily Rudd who plays the character of Nami thinks that she is the “cool, calm, collected cat burglar of the group.” She also discussed her vast background with anime and manga, revealing that the actress grew up watching Pokémon, Dragon Ball Z, and, in particular, Sailor Moon, a popular anime in the United States and Canada. She believed that anime and manga helped in her development into the person she is today. She claims that she was born to portray Nami.
Matt Owens’s Favorite Nami Scene from the Series
In a YouTube livestream known as Reverie, Matt Owens talks about his experience with every character and the one scene that he loves the most.
