Kunis, and Academy Award-winning actress Potman, starred in director Darren Aronofsky’s 2010 directorial psychological horror film, Black Swan.
The movie starring two of Hollywood’s most successful mega actors received a positive response from the audience and earned critical acclaim. However, the film caused quite a stir among its fans due to the s*xual scenes involving co-stars Kunis and Portman.
Natalie Portman Reveals Her Experience Filming Intimate Scenes With Mila Kunis
In a candid interview, the Knight of Cups movie star revealed that she suggested Mila Kunis for the role of Lily in Black Swan, but the actress claimed that if she and Kunis weren’t friends off-screen, their s*x scenes would have been more comfortable.
Speaking in length about her role and the intimate scenes with her co-star in the movie (which she had no idea about), Portman told MTV News,
“It was really crazy because Mila and I were very good friends. And when Darren asked me, ‘Who do you think could do this part? Who has sort of a similar height, coloring, physique?’ I was like, ‘Oh, Mila, Mila, Mila!’ He met her and obviously flipped over her, and she’s super talented and does an amazing job in the movie. I didn’t really think through the fact that I was going to have to have sex with her in the movie.”
The actress further revealed that while they are close friends off-screen, it was awkward for the two to share an intimate scene in the movie. She explained,
“It was pretty awkward. I almost feel like it would be easier to do it with someone you didn’t know. But having said that, it was great to have a friend there who we could laugh and make jokes and get over it together.”
During an AMA session on Reddit in 2015, Mila Kunis was asked by a fan, “How was it making out with Natalie?” to which the actress responded:
“I mean… when you have a kissing scene in a film, it’s not something you think about as a kissing thing. You have all these crews around. But she’s a lovely kisser, very polite.”
