The 1995 movie The Quick and the Dead, which went on to be nominated for an Oscar, featured Sharon Stone and Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead roles. While both the actors were quite influenced by each other, DiCaprio admitted to how Stone wasn’t in real life how he envisioned her to be.

In an interview, the Academy Award winner shared how he truly felt about working with the then-37-year-old actress, also revealing how he felt uncomfortable when the nearly twice-his-age actress kissed him in one scene. Leonardo DiCaprio said,

“I expected her to be this big -ex vixen, seducing everyone. But she was sweet. To tell you the truth, it wasn’t that great. She grabbed me by the back of my hair and pushed her lips on mine and then threw my head away. It didn’t feel like a real kiss.”

Reports also claimed that Stone was so impressed by DiCaprio’s audition for the movie The Quick and the Dead that the Oscar-winning actress fought the studio to cast him and even agreed to pay the then-21-year-old actor out of her own pocket when the studio denied to pay him.

While the Titanic actor claimed acting with Sharon Stone was an awkward experience for him, his friends had a different story to tell. Confessing that Leonardo DiCaprio was verily more attracted to the 65-year-old actress than he let on, DiCaprio’s friend revealed,

“Leo admitted to me he’d been heavily attracted to her. He reckoned she played along with it by flirting with him whenever they were in a scene together. [He said] ‘I couldn’t stop thinking about her. It was really weird because she was nearly old enough to be my mom. I think she’s really cool. She let me think we could be friends. She’s brilliant.’”

As it turns out, although the actor didn’t publicly admit to it, somewhere deep down in his heart, Leonardo DiCaprio just might be on cloud nine about sharing the same sets with his crush, Sharon Stone.
