Jennifer Coolidge and Sandra Bullock worked together in the 80s much before either of their careers in acting had been established properly. She confirmed that Coolidge had been a cocktail waitress and Bullock had been a hostess in the exact same restaurant. However, she acknowledge how the latter’s determination was always intimidating in an inspiring way for the former.
“I never really asked those questions. It never occurred to me to get my own thing going,” Coolidge added. “I was waiting for people to give me my opportunities rather than create them.”
Due to the way, Bullock was going on in her life, Coolidge was sure of one thing, she would go extremely far in her career.
“She’s going so f***ing far.”
It was this enthusiasm and determination that helped with her career and inspired Coolidge in her own career. According to her, the Gravity actor was always very kind and sweet to everyone around her. She was aware of how to get things done and how to chase after the right projects. The Legally Blonde actress on the other hand would wait for opportunities to come to her rather than the other way around.
Sandra Bullock Took Jennifer Coolidge’s Shifts
Jennifer Coolidge confirmed that hers was a job that was impossible to get fired from. Sandra Bullock and her did not always mix too well because she would often take the shifts that were meant for Coolidge. However, she could not counter much as for A Cinderella Story actor, that was a time she would often ditch work and party her heart out.
“I was so mad Sandra got the shifts,” she recalled. “But I wasn’t showing up.”
The shifts that were then left unattended were taken over by Bullock. In the end, she quit her job and focused fully on her career as an actor.
