Megan Fox got her Marilyn Monroe tattoo removed for a specific reason

Jennifer’s Body star shared in an interview with Marie Claire in 2009 about inking Marilyn Monroe on her arm and its special significance to her. She shared,

“She was one of the first people I saw on television, like, literally moments after I was born. Every time I heard her voice growing up I would always cry. I wouldn’t know why when I was younger, but now have my own theories. I’ve just always empathized with her.”

Megan Fox felt Monroe’s negative life affected her personal life

Megan Fox became popular with Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg’s superhit film franchise, Transformers. She was part of the first two installments and was paired with Shia LaBeouf. However, she was fired from the third installment by Speilberg, after her one interview with The Guardian, where she compared Bay to Hitler.

She had said,

“He’s like Napoleon, and he wants to create this insane, infamous madman reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he’s not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he’s so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all. And it’s endearing to watch him. He’s vulnerable and fragile in real life, and then on set, he’s a tyrant. Shia [Labeouf] and I almost die when we make a Transformers movie. He has you do some really insane things that insurance would never let you do.”

At the time Fox’s departure was reasoned as her desire to take up other acting opportunities.
