Amber Heard opens up on struggles in her career

Aquaman fame started her acting career in her teen years and climbed up the ladder of success in a very short span. The actress has been facing the spotlight for a long time with movies like The Danish GirlMagic Mike XXLAquaman, and the television series, The Stand. She has worked on some box office hits as well as some of the worst movies of the decade. But she loves the ups and downs of her job.

In an interview, she was asked if Amber Heard’s sister Whitney also wants to pursue acting. Heard replied that seeing her career trajectory, her sister might not want to follow the same path. She said to Vanity Fair,

“I think she sees all the B.S., all the ups and the downs I have to go through — I think my sister sees that and is fine just eating popcorn in the stands and doing her own thing.”

She was asked by the host, if she would have chosen to be an actress, had she known about its hardships. Heard replied that she finds the fight or flight and career struggles very appealing.

Heard said,

“Absolutely. I love so much the inconsistency and the travel, and I love very much the struggle that you’re constantly — you’re constantly put in a state of fight or flight. It’s a constant struggle. I don’t know if I could have it any other way.”

Talking about fight or flight, Heard presumably meant the arguments between actors and directors over line readings and characters offered to her.

The actress has to face numerous ups and down in her professional life, but her personal life has also not been easy. The actress married Johnny Depp in 2015 but filed for divorce in 2016. The couple had put several allegations against one another, and their live defamation trial was watched in large numbers.

Amber Heard was widely slammed by viewers and celebs for her testimony in the court of public opinion.  

The actress will be next seen as Mera in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom with Jason Momoa. It is due to be released by the end of the year.
