Celebrities are usually portrayed as those perfect personalities on-screen, but even they are prone to stupid decisions due to bizarre reasons and unannounced embarrassing situations. Since this rule applies to everyone, renowned actor Bryan Cranston is no exception to it either.
While most would expect the Breaking Bad star’s life choices to not be that peculiar, it seems that’s not the case, considering how he based his entire career choices on the libido of an 18-year-old boy just to get with a girl!
Bryan Cranston Changed His Career Choices Because Of A Girl
Although his character on Breaking Bad must have stemmed from an entirely different caring but demanding image of him in the audience’s mind, Bryan Cranston’s real-life choices say otherwise. As it turns out, the actor actually decided to choose acting as his profession for a very bizarre reason.
Initially, he was stuck between his career choices of whether to be a sheriff or an actor. In an interview with GameFAQs, he shared how close he was to becoming a cop, saying,
“Shockingly close. When I was 16, I joined the LAPD Explorers in the West Valley.”
But everything changed when he went to L.A. Valley College to study police science, and his counselor told him that he was required to take some elective courses as well.
“So in my second year, I took classes in acting and stagecraft. On my very first day, I walked into class, and there was this 17-year-old girl sitting on the floor, wearing only a tube top and hot pants. I was like, ‘Oh…my…God.’ From that moment on I was done with police work. The girls in theater arts were so much prettier. I changed the course of an entire life based on the libido of an 18-year-old boy.”
Though the reason behind his career decision wasn’t the most ideal indeed, it did end up putting him in the place where he deserves to be: as one of the finest actors in Hollywood!
Bryan Cranston Got Rejected By Another Girl In Theatres
Continuing, Bryan Cranston told GameFAQs how once, at the beginning of his time in theatres, he got fooled into thinking a girl liked him because of her spectacular acting.
“During my first acting class, I did a scene with a girl—a girl I’d never met before—and we were supposed to be making out on a park bench. I was really hesitant about it, but she attacked me. She wasn’t just kissing me, she was deeply tonguing me, arms and hands everywhere. I was so flummoxed, I forgot my lines.”
While this could end up fooling anyone, Cranston’s experience was a rather ‘devastating’ one because he decided to ask the girl out.
“Afterward, I was thinking, I need to ask this girl out; she’s obviously really into me. So during the break, I asked her if maybe she wanted to go out sometime, [and] get some lunch or dinner. And she looked at me as if I were a puppy. She was like, ‘Ooooh, sweetie, no, no, I have a boyfriend.’ I was devastated, but at the same time, I was like, What a great actress! She totally had me fooled.”
Perhaps this girl who rejected him inspired Bryan Cranston to the point where he took his acting to a whole new level, judging from his spectacular on-screen performance as Walter White in Breaking Bad among other superhit movies and TV shows!
