The legacy that Elvis Presley then left behind had marked her with the raw talent that made her father immortal among the multitudes of musical geniuses. The King had died when she was just 9. The remainder of her life was spent living up to the memory of her late father and being a singer-songwriter herself.
In 2002, Lisa Marie Presley married Nicolas Cage after meeting him at a party. Breaking off her two-year engagement to musician John Oszajca, Presley tied the knot with Cage in August 2002. In November of the same year, Cage filed for divorce, which was then finalized in 2004. As the news of Lisa Marie’s passing stuns the world, her ex-husband, actor Nicolas Cage reacted to the news and told The Hollywood Reporter:
