The Oscar winner superstar also shared that she would love to be a part of a superhero movie where she would get a chance to do cool stuff like her co-stars.
“I remember going, ‘I wish I had more of a role, though.’ ‘It’s great being the girl in the Batman movie.’ But I’m an actor and you go, ‘Gosh I want more to do.’ So I would still love to do some sort of superhero movie where I get to do the cool stuff.”
Joel Schumacher On Casting Nicole Kidman In His Every Movie
Joel Schumacher, the director of Batman Forever, shared that he had his eye on Kidman for a while and considered her a perfect fit for the role of Dr. Chase Meridian. Schumacher shared that Nicole Kidman has a luminous personality, which differentiates her from other actresses. The filmmaker even went ahead and stated that he wishes to cast the Rabbit Hole star in every movie he works on.
“I know, I know, she doesn’t look anything like a criminal psychiatrist. But it’s my Gotham City and I can do what I want. I’ve had my eye on her since Dead Calm. You meet a lot of beautiful people in this business, but there’s something almost luminous about her. I wish I had a clause in my contract that said Nicole Kidman had to be in every one of my movies.”
The Being the Ricardos star’s hunger for a much significant role directly represents her aspiring goals as a true actor. But it seems like finally Kidman’s desire for a substantial role in an action-packed superhero film has been fulfilled with her portrayal of The Queen of Atlantis in Aquaman.
