Mission Impossible franchise star Tom Cruise and Hips Don’t Lie singer Shakia has been in the recent news after they were spotted together at Formula 1’s Miami Grand Prix on Sunday, May 7. One of Hollywood’s A-listers, Tom Cruise is one of the most popular actors of all time. He has established his name both as an action megastar and a versatile genius. He is also the world’s one of the highest paid actors with numerous accolades to his name that include, an Honorary Palme d’Or and three Golden Globe Awards. He also has four Oscar nominations.
The Colombian singer and songwriter, Shakira has made her name with many popular songs. The singer is also known as the ‘Queen of Latin Music’ and her versatility in music. She made her debut at the age of 13 with Sony Records. Later, she gained worldwide recognition with songs like, Hips Don’t Lie, Whenever, Wherever. However, Waka Waka (This Time for Africa), the official theme song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, is responsible for her instant and further popularity.
Tom Cruise and Shakira Dating Update
The stars appeared and posed together at Formula 1’s Miami Grand Prix and they had a great time. Following that, Page Six reported that Tom Cruise “is extremely interested in pursuing her.”
“There is chemistry,” a source told the media outlet. Currently, the 60-year-old actor and the 46-year-old singer are single. Recently Shakira split from her long-time boyfriend, former Spanish footballer, Gerard Piqué. Allegedly, the 36-year-old footballer was having an affair with his now-girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti.
“Shakira needs a soft pillow to fall on, and that could be Tom,” the source said, adding that Cruise has the advantage of being, “a nice-looking guy, and he is talented.” Further, the source humorously told, “And she isn’t taller than him.” Evidently, Cruise is 5-foot-7 and Shakira is 5-foot-2.
Last June, Shakira, and Piqué ended their 12-year relationship. The former couple share two children, Sasha, 8, and Milan, 10.

Shakira Has No Interest in Dating Tom Cruise
While the source claimed that the Top Gun: Maverick actor was very interested in dating the pop star after spending time at the event, Shakira has no interest in dating the actor.
“Shakira had a great time hanging out with Tom at F1 but she has no interest in dating him,” the source said.
“He was really nice, and she enjoyed his company, but she isn’t focused on dating him or anybody else at the moment. She has a lot on her plate and is focused on her kids [Sasha, 8, and Milan, 10] and career for now.”
The source further added saying that Shakira has been aware of online reports of them dating which gave her a laugh.
“Shakira has seen the online rumors that Tom has been courting her—and how fans are chiming in with their opinions—but she thinks it’s hilarious because it’s just not true,” the source said.
“She had a fun time when they chatted, but that’s as far as things have gone,” they added.
Further, the source said that Cruise was very much impressed with Shakira and sent flowers after they met.
There is no report of Cruise’s response to the buzz.
