Joan Rivers Took a Jab at Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence is known for her down-to-earth behavior among her fans. She has also been quite open about her opinions and thoughts on several things. The X-Men star shared her views on young girls constantly being judged for their appearances on TV shows like Fashion Police, for promoting wrong ideas.

Lawrence claimed that it’s giving a wrong idea to the young people and said, “Screw those people” who judge others for their appearance. This did not sit well with the host of the TV show, Joan Rivers, who shared her criticism of the actress on multiple occasions.

“Look at her posters. She doesn’t have a nose. She has two holes. She just has to learn, don’t talk if you’re doing it,” the comedian said about the Passengers star. Rivers also said that she hopes “Lawrence grows up and realizes how lucky she is and calms down.”

She did not stop there and went on to take a dig at the Silver Linings Playbook star stumbling on her way to accept the Academy Awards. “She tripped over her own arrogance,” Joan Rivers said. However, her daughter Melissa Rivers later denied claims of any feud between her mother and the Oscar winner.

During a conversation with Howard Stern on SiriusXM radio, Joan Rivers’ daughter Melissa Rivers talked about a conversation she had with Jennifer Lawrence. She said that she had an amazing experience with the actress despite her opinions on the TV show Fashion Police. Rivers shared,

She also shared that the Mother star came to her and talked about the issues between her and Joan Rivers. She told her that although they had their differences, she loved her and even broke the ice by quoting the late comedian’s jokes.
