The hit Netflix series Shadow and Bone has wrapped up filming for Season 2. In the recent Netflix Geeked Week event, the cast of the series shared a short video clip confirming the show’s progress. Shadow and Bone Season 2
There are no details yet about the plot for the second saga, but the executive producer and author of the novel Leigh Bardugo explained that it will focus on the unseen parts of the Grishaverse.
“There are so many places we’ve barely gotten to visit, and I can’t wait to introduce our audience to more of the saints, soldiers, thugs, thieves, princes, and privateers who make this world so much fun to explore,” explained the author.
Shadow and Bone Season 2 will pick up after the events that followed in the first installment, which ended on a cliffhanger. The viewers saw General Kirigan coming out from The Fold assisted by an army. This change in the plot’s ending created an opportunity to explore General Kirigan’s destiny.
Eric Heisserer will return as the showrunner, and he explained that this gripping ending to the first season was his dare to Netflix not to renew the show. “I’m honored and thrilled to return to the Grishaverse and continue the stories of these endearing characters, particularly Milo the goat,” said Heisserer.
New Cast To Join In The Grishaverse
Some of the favorite characters will return to the show, and there will be new characters that fans will meet, including Nikolai Lantsov (Patrick Gibson), Tamar Kir-Bataar (Anna Leong Brophy), and Wylan Hendricks (Jack Wolfe).
The first season received generally positive reviews from fans and critics. The faithful adaptation of the novel to the small screen and the impeccable scriptwriting contributed to the show’s success. Shadow and Bone Season 2 has no specified release date yet.
