A large number of talents, primarily from a younger demographic, are being eyed by James Gunn and Co. who will kick-start the new era for DCU. The Sex Education star is reported to be in the race with some of the other significant names from the present era such as Rachel Brosnahan, Samara Weaving, and Phoebe Dynevor.
Emma Mackey can be seen in the upcoming multistarrer Barbie alongside Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling following her success in the Netflix series. If everything goes alright, the Maeve Wiley fame can land one of the most iconic roles in her career yet.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, some of the most prominent youngsters in the industry are eyed for the lead roles in Superman: Legacy. These include Emma Mackey, David Corenswet, Nicholas Hoult, Rachel Brosnahan, and a few others. It was already reported that James Gunn will watch every audition tape on his own before making any decision. Looks like they are finally proceeding toward the screen testing stage.
Sources reported that even though Emma Mackey leads the race for the role of Superman’s love interest, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star, Rachel Brosnahan also gave an outstanding audition. However, her age of 32 can present as a barrier to her landing the role. On the other hand, Scream VI’s Samara Weaving and Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor are also in the race. But it is also added that some of these names are nothing more than “chatroom discussions” and it will take a considerable amount of time before we get a final confirmation.
