Sandra Bullock’s Bird Box was a bone-chilling adventure of fright and anticipation. The movie was what could easily be termed a psychologically gripping and stimulating film that always kept the audience on its toes. Becoming one of the biggest Netflix movies, the actress had to endure a lot in the process of filming. She found herself in challenging situations but, that did not stop her from making the best of it.
The actress had to film a majority of the movie with a blindfold on and directing your way without sight when you heavily rely on it can be very difficult. Bullock found a way around it, understanding how to work with her other senses when her sight was failing her. More so, she found a way to make it fun, by focusing on other aspects like her cast-mates. Especially the children.
Sandra Bullock Was Unafraid To Scream At The Children
Sandra Bullock talked about her on-set experience while filming Bird Box. She really enjoyed working with everyone and the unique way it was filmed with the actress having to be blindfolded almost constantly and having to maneuver an entire scene while constantly looking out for the children.
“But you don’t get to that place because there’s usually people watching … So you’ve got to be those things that you aren’t allowed to be when you’re really, really scared.”
It gave her an opportunity to scream at the kids without regrets. In fact, she quite enjoyed it. The experience had been refreshing as she would always have to hold back when it came to her children as she would often be in front of people. Bullock talked about how the movie had allowed her to do something she had been waiting for a long time and did not hold back at all, embracing every moment of it.
Sandra Bullock Explained How Screaming At Your Children Becomes Integral
Sandra Bullock explained how when it comes to her children, she cannot always scream but if the situation has red signs all over it, she would not let them go about the face of danger with calm composure. She would instead scream and rise in panic, worry boiling within her.
“If your child runs out into the street, you don’t go, ‘Get back here.’ You go, ‘What the f— are you doing? Get over here!’”
The actress added that when she is in public she tries her best to maintain her cool and not freak out or panic when a dangerous situation arises. However, she also does not try to hold back, letting herself go all out for the safety of her children.
Bird Box is now available to watch on Netflix.
