Updates Regarding Aubrey Plaza’s Character in the MCU

The latest feature under the popular Marvel Cinematic Universe, Secret Invasion, brought a new character to light. Initially introduced in Brie Larson‘s Captain Marvel, Secret Invasion features Emilia Clarke as Gi’ah. And the series has received quite the backlash for making her the most powerful character in the MCU.

And the new update about the upcoming Marvel series Agatha: Coven of Chaos has revealed that Aubrey Plaza‘s character might be quite similar to Gi’ah from Secret Invasion. Since her casting, the studio has left fans wondering about her part in the series.

However, The Cosmic Circus’ sources have revealed that Plaza’s character could “mirror what Emilia Clarke’s Gi’ah was to Secret Invasion.” Marvel fans have been quite open about their dislikeness about overpowered characters like Carol Danvers and now Gi’ah in Secret Invasion.

And the update seems to suggest that the 39-year-old actress could also be in line to become another overpowered character in the MCU. Her character is also reported to have roots tied to Marvel comics and is expected to have her origin in the earliest days of the cinematic universe.

The Cosmic Circus has also claimed that the Aubrey Plaza and Kathryn Hahn starrer MCU series could go through a delay due to the writers’ strike and that it’s likely to constantly move ahead with the strike itself. It is also believed that the series could introduce Agatha’s son, Nicholas Scratch, as well. However, there is no official confirmation of such claims yet.

Agatha: Coven of Chaos is expected to release in 2024.
