Greta Gerwig’s highly anticipated film Barbie is set to release this weekend, with Robbie and Gosling playing Barbie and Ken along with an ensemble cast, who portray different versions of the famous Mattel dolls.

Ryan Gosling dished out some inside information on the various experiences and activities that he indulged in along with his co-stars which created a warm bond between them on set. Apart from all the Barbies and Kens being part of a group chat, Gosling revealed Margot Robbie’s specific demands for her colleagues on set.
Ryan Gosling Spilled The Beans On Margot Robbie’s Obsession With Pink
From the trailers and images of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, it looks like the film was a fun-filled experience for all the actors on set. Ryan Gosling who plays Ken, spoke about the various ways in which the cast members bonded with each other and revealed that his co-star Margot Robbie was also instrumental in bringing everyone together with an interesting dress code. Elaborating on the Suicide Squad star’s obsession with the color pink, Gosling said,
“Margot had this pink day once a week, where everyone had to wear something pink. And if you didn’t, you were fined. She would go around collecting the fines, and she would donate it to a charity.”
To contribute to Margot Robbie’s charitable ideas, The Notebook star said that all the cast members congregated together at the end of the filming to pool in their money and make pink crew shirts with rainbow fringes as a way of showing their appreciation to Robbie and Gerwig.
How Did Ryan Gosling Become Ken?
It is common knowledge that Hollywood star Ryan Gosling is gifted when it comes to playing funny characters. The actor who will play Ken to Margot Robbie’s Barbie in Greta Gerwig’s directorial, discussed the events leading up to him being cast in the role and why he felt that it was perfect for him. In his trademark tongue-in-cheek manner, Gosling elaborated on the signs that convinced him to be part of the film.
“Best script I ever read. I walk out in the backyard. And you know where I found Ken, Jimmy? Face down in the mud next to a squished lemon. “I texted it [the photo] to Greta and I said, ‘I shall be your Ken. For this story must be told.’”
The La La Land star went on to praise his director Greta Gerwig for her brilliant vision for the film while adding that he completely submitted to all her decisions for his character, which according to the actor, turned out to be brilliant.
