After dating Rachel McAdams for two years, the duo went on their separate ways in 2007. With the passage of time, Gosling revealed that Rachel McAdams and Sandra Bullock were two of the best girlfriends that he ever had. He also talked about losing Bullock and McAdams and how it played an important lesson in his life.

“I had two of the greatest girlfriend of all time. I haven’t met anybody who could top them. Show business is the bad guy. When both people are in show business it’s too much showbusiness. It takes all of the light, so nothing else can grow.”

After dating Rachel McAdams from 2005 to 2007, the La La Land actor started dating Eva Mendes back in 2011. The couple has been going strong over these years and share two daughters. Ryan Gosling, however, recalled a time when it was a debate between settling down with the kids or working in Hollywood and he chose the latter.

With a debate between the heart and mind, Ryan Gosling revealed that he once wanted to step down from Hollywood so badly. Talking about his blooming career and his hopes for settling down and starting a family, Gosling talked about a debate between wanting kids and continuing to bow before Hollywood.

“I’d like to be making babies but I’m not, so I’m making movies. When someone comes along I don’t think I’ll be able to do both and I’m fine with that. I’ll make movies until I make babies. I have no idea when the handover will happen.”

After sharing two daughters with Eva Mendes, the actor became an at-home cook for his family and showcased that there are no gender-specific roles that one must fulfill. Eva Mendes, in fact, shared,

“I’m not an amazing cook – I leave that to Ryan. Hopefully it’s showing my girls that there are no gender-specific roles that one must take on and that we are partners in this and that we’re all partners in this, not just Ryan and I, but our children as well.”

After taking a break from acting from 2018 to 2022, the actor once again returned for the upcoming Barbie movie and will star alongside Margot Robbie and Will Ferrell. Barbie is currently slated for a release date of 21 July 2023 in theaters.
