Rockstar Games may have another game in its pipeline at the moment than just Grand Theft Auto Vi, at least according to a ResetEra user who caught wind of a mention of it on the resume for voice actor Michael Usru, who also stars in the upcoming Silent Hill: Ascension. On his resume, he mentions under a section specific to VR that he was a part of an “Undisclosed Rockstar game” as a principal cast member. What this game could be is very much a mystery at this time.
This would not be the first VR Rockstar title, however. It also developed a slimmed-down version of L.A. Noire for VR several years back; while not the whole package, it included various parts of the game reshaped for a VR playstyle. Rockstar also announced that there is a VR version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in development, however, it is unlikely this relates to that since it has been formally announced already.

How Might This Affect Rockstar on the Whole?
How this may affect the whole of Rockstar’s upcoming video game slate is a mystery. Traditionally, many studios have developed several projects at one time, and Rockstar is certainly no exception. From 2008 to 2013, the studio released Bully: Scholarship Edition, Grand Theft Auto IV, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, two expansions for Grand Theft Auto IV, Red Dead Redemption and its expansion, Undead Nightmare, L.A. Noire, Max Payne 3, and Grand Theft Auto V, amongst others. However, since then, Rockstar has slowed its pace down considerably, releasing only one new title for the last generation of consoles with the acclaimed Red Dead Redemption II while instead focusing on updates to GTA Online.

It is most likely that whatever Rockstar’s supposed VR title is, it has little effect at all on the ongoing development of the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI, and that it is instead being handled by a separate team within the studio. This should be some solace to gamers out there anxiously waiting for news on the sequel they have waited nearly a decade for.
Rockstar Games seems to want to keep things as close to their vest as possible with GTA 6, even after a major leak hit them last year. This makes sense, given that the last title in the series is not only the second best-selling game of all time (behind only Minecraft) but also the highest-grossing. Though GTA 6 would seem like a guaranteed success, it has a lot of expectations riding on it from millions of gamers all around the world.
However this all shakes out, Rockstar seems to be deep into development on the next Grand Theft Auto game. Rumors have swirled recently that the game may not be announced until next year, however, and that the famed studio is supposedly hoping to have a year gap between announcement and release.
