Robert Pattinson’s rise to superstardom came with his role as the vampire Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga. Backed by a huge fan following, the British star went from strength to strength, ultimately landing the marquee role of DC’s iconic hero Batman in 2022’s The Batman.
Pattinson is also known to incorporate some alternative acting methods to get into the skin of his character. The celebrity has made no bones about sharing his daring techniques in public, which include m**terbating during a scene, to appear more convincing. Despite his bold efforts for authenticity, Pattinson was caught completely unawares in a gay scene with his Spanish co-star.
Gay Scene In Little Ashes Traumatized Robert Pattinson
In the biopic Little Ashes, Robert Pattinson starred as the famous artist Salvatore Dali, who has a passionate homos*xual romance with a Spanish artist. The film required Pattinson to do a steamy and graphic s*x scene with Spanish actor Javier Beltran, which ended up being a humiliating encounter that had the actor breaking down on set. Recalling the scene, The Batman star said,
“Here I am, with Javier [Beltrán], who plays Lorca, doing an extremely hard-core s*x scene, where I have a nervous breakdown afterwards. The hardest part was trying to do it doggie-style.”
While Pattinson and Beltran are both straight, the Harry Potter star was in awe of his colleague for his infinite confidence and ease while being n*ked, and wished that he had the capacity to let go and get into that kind of comfort zone.
Robert Pattinson’s Next Film Is With Korean Director Bong Joon-Ho
Robert Pattinson is ensuring that his career trajectory is only going further up. After hitting the jackpot with The Batman, the star has signed on to his next project with Oscar-winning Korean director Bong Joon-Ho. The film titled Mickey 17 will see Pattinson play two characters who are a pair of clones forced to work together on a suicidal space mission for the betterment of humankind. Speaking of his excitement and hopes for the film and working with Ho, the celebrity said,
“It’s like nothing I’ve ever done before. It’s crazy and a completely different style of working for me”
The project is an adaptation of Edward Ashton’s novel and is said to be a cerebral thriller similar to The Martian or Dark Matter. With Bong Joon-Ho’s penchant for strong metaphorical allusions to life and Pattinson’s flair for challenging roles like the manic lighthouse keeper in The Lighthouse to the creepy evangelist in The Devil All the Time, this actor-director pairing could become a huge success in Hollywood.
