Recently a brand new best-seller from Gearbox Publishing and Gunfire Games has just reached a lofty milestone as Remnant 2 has achieved one million sales today on the 1st of August. It is well deserved as many critics and gamers are loving this sequel to Remnant: From The Ashes in its fresh new world to explore and fantastic new gameplay to explore.
Why is this a significant milestone for Remnant 2?
Over the years, Gunfire Games has been working hard on Remnant 2 after they released Remnant: From The Ashes and received a lot of praise once it was released, so the team had a lot of work ahead of them to top such a unique and fun game. As shown by their sales, they are already ahead of their targets as they have reached one million sales over PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, which has broken its franchise record as they have doubled the numbers of players concurrently playing Remnant 2 than what Remnant: From The Ashes had when it first launched.
Due to Remnant 2 approaching this impressive milestone, a few members of their staff have issued thanks to the Remnant community by saying such things as, “To everyone who helped us achieve this amazing milestone, thank you for your unwavering support,” which was told by David Adams of Gunfire Games whilst Yoon Im from Gearbox Publishing also said this in regard to the milestone “As excited as we are, we’re incredibly thankful to the Remnant community who supported us and the Gunfire team during development. To the new Remnant fans who joined our community in the past week, we’re thrilled you joined us on this journey.“

What will be next for Remnant 2?
Due to the recent one million sale milestone, Gearbox Publishing and Gunfire Games have released an accolades trailer for Remnant 2, showing off a portion of the trailer with numerous reviews showing its high ratings. For now, there is still a lot to discover in the game that many players haven’t found in regards to weapons, bosses, layouts and secret rooms that can still be found throughout Remnant 2, which will keep players going for a long time to come.
At the moment, no expansions are planned in the recent future for Remnant 2, but with its increasing popularity amongst old and new fans, there may be a possibility for future DLC, but this is unlikely due to how the story ended, on the other hand, there are a lot of storylines that haven’t been told and explored fully yet and will have fans asking many questions for a long time to come.
