Michelle Rodriguez and Charlize Theron have been conquering the Fast and the Furious franchise with their incredible dynamics. The two have a fight sequence that is heavily anticipated after the effort the two put into the entire scene. Seeing that the duo spent a lot of time together on set, there is no doubt their off-screen dynamics were also in the process of developing.
Theron worked a lot with the actress during the shooting of the movie and all she can talk about is just how brilliant of a person she really is. The actress’s experience with Rodriguez has been one to remember for a lifetime and surprisingly, a lot has to do with how similar the S.W.A.T. actress is to her mother.
Charlize Theron Is Reminded Of Her Mother By Working With Michelle Rodriguez
Charlize Theron and Michelle Rodriguez practiced a lot for their roles in Fast X, spending a lot of time together. The actress kept complimenting how unique Rodriguez’s personality is and that she is one incredible woman. Furthermore, she talked about how one thing that stood out for her more than anything else was just how similar she is to her mother. The two will finally be going against each other in the upcoming movie, creating a lot of excitement among the fans.
“I mean I think it’s approach to life, her work,” Theron continued. “She always grabs the bull by the horns. I am so inspired by humans like that. I love being around humans like that. She reminds me a lot of my mom.”
Theron could not stop fawning over how Rodriguez’s personality and approach to life were very similar to her mother’s. The uniqueness in her sense of self seemingly managed to mesmerize the Old Guard actress even more. She focused on how Michelle Rodriguez had the ability to bring about representation when it came to women’s empowerment in the best possible way. Their off-screen dynamic was one that Theron cherishes dearly.
Charlize Theron And Michelle Rodriguez Had No Director For Their Fight Sequence
Charlize Theron and Michelle Rodriguez have a fight scene with each other in Faxt X which has both the actresses fighting with each other head-on. During the patch when the movie had no director since Justin Lin had stepped away from the movie because of creative differences, the cast and crew decided that things will not be put on hold.
“Can I just tell you — no pun intended, but Charlize is a monster,” Rodriguez said. “We shot our [‘Fast X’] fight sequence with no director. Bro, like, hands down, drop mic, we nailed it. We were there, we don’t need [a director], let’s do this.”
In the span of the week that the movie saw only a secondary director, Rodriguez, and Theron worked on their fistfight all by themselves. It seems to have already attracted a crowd with the actresses being happy with what the final outcome came to be. Although there were a lot of changes made in the script, this one scene stood out more than the others.
Fast X will be available to watch in theatres from 19th May 2023.
