Tom Cruise’s Real Reason for Not Wanting To Be a Superhero
Tom Cruise is a man who can turn impossible missions into lightwork. Ever since he appeared in Endless Love, he never had to look back on the tough days of endless training. Well, apart from his acting career, Cruise is also a big-time producer. Making his way to the upper echelons of Hollywood was not easy but it’s Tom Cruise, nothing is impossible for him. With countless awards, accolades, and nominations, Cruise cruised his way to be the highest-paid actor with his movies grossing billions worldwide. After having an unstable early life, he turned up to be a very fine young man.
Tom Cruise has been in the industry for over three decades and has movies and blockbusters in every genre he ever stepped foot in. So it’s a little surprising when people are made aware of the fact that the Top Gun actor has been in a cape or has never put on a mask for the people. The superhero genre has been booming in the industry for the last ten to twenty years and most of the Hollywood celebrities have tried their hand in it, but not Tom Cruise.
“Look I really enjoy those films a lot. I enjoy them. But I make the ‘Missions’ and ‘Reacher’. Just different kinds of films. I grew up watching ‘Shane’, Steve McQueen, Clint Eastwood, and this kind of character that just goes for guys that really deserve it. The guy who really deserves it. Not everyone deserves it. But when they really deserve it they just get it”
During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, the actor was asked if he even wanted to be in a superhero movie, or has he ever collaborated with MCU or DCU, to which he replied with a “No“. Cruise added that although he enjoys these types of movies, he is particularly not interested to film one. There are always those who are meant to play a certain role, he just does not see himself as one.
