Ryan Reynolds’ Advice For a Wrexham Player
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney recently joined the Fearless in Devotion Podcast to talk about their soccer club, Wrexham A.F.C. While talking about the team, Reynolds revealed how he advised one of the players to greet his wife Blake Lively like a gentleman after he constantly greeted her completely shirtless.
When asked which member of the team has been enjoying the limelight the most, the Free Guy actor said, “Ollie Palmer.” He then shared that every time he went to visit the team with his family, Palmer would be the first person to walk out of the locker room completely shirtless and start a conversation with Lively.
The constant behavior led Reynolds to advise Ollie Palmer to talk to his wife after putting some clothes on. “I’m like, ‘Ollie, put a f*cking shirt on and come back out to speak to her like a gentleman,” he said on the podcast.
The 31-year-old professional soccer player is a striker for National League club Wrexham. While Reynolds doesn’t seem to be a fan of the way he greets his wife, he praises Palmer for being a good player and a good person.

Further talking about Ollie Palmer, Ryan Reynolds also praised the player. He said that Palmer is one of the best and funniest guys he knows. “Ollie is one of the best guys we know, genuinely, and also one of the funniest guys I know,” he said before adding that he is also excited about Palmer’s clothing brand.
The Red Notice star also shared that he feels nice seeing one of the Wrexham players “soar like that.” Ollie Palmer is the striker on Wrexham and has scored 17 goals during his 45 appearances so far. His clothing brand WXM Clothing is inspired by the town he really loves, Wrexham. And he desires to give back to the community by sharing its profits with the Wrexham AFC Community Trust.
