The Bethesda Executive talked about his experience with Starfield in a conversation with Xbox and said that it doesn’t even really get going even when he’s played over 100 hours. He added that he has spent something around 150 to 160 hours and he feels like he hasn’t even come close to what the game has to offer and he finds things at different times that change how a player sees the game.

He said that the gamers who play-tested the game also feel that the game has an absurd amount of content to offer. Here’s what else he had to say:

“If I am honest, there’s not an amount of time that I’m comfortable enough, of like, ‘Now you’ve played enough Starfield to get what this game is. There’s so much stuff I have intentionally not done. We try and tell everybody how big this game is, and the folks playing it, like, one of the few things they will tell us is, ‘Yeah, you weren’t kidding. I can’t believe how big it is.’ It’s content and exploration. No matter how you want to play, there is so much for you to do in this game.”

How Long Will It Take to Complete Starfield?

Considering the details that Pete Hines revealed about the scale of the game, one can not be sure how long it could take to complete the game. However, if we look at other RPG titles from Bethesda, the game will have a main quest that players will follow to conclude and there could be a completion time assigned to them.

With Starfield, Bethesda has built a massive world that it wants the players to immerse in. The game has over 1,000 planets to explore, with each of their quests for players to explore and complete. And if we take that into consideration, it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea to complete the game but gamers can keep coming back to the game for a good number of years.
