All good things must end, no matter how big or small, or for whatever reason. The end of the DCEU with the management shift inside Warner Bros. Discovery marks the end of a superhero cinematic universe that was envisioned by Zack Snyder, the man revered for bringing one of the best versions of Superman to the big screen along with many other characters from the pages of DC Comics.
But during the creation of the Justice League, circumstances compelled the filmmaker to leave the project mid-production, which led to an unfortunate reception of the film with the final product. Therefore, when fans on the internet saw that Snyder was getting credits for Aquaman, they were not pleased.
Fans Called Out Zack Snyder For Wrongfully Getting Credit For Aquaman
Considered to be the backbone of the DCEU right from the start, Zack Snyder amassed a lot of love and admiration from the audience thanks to the creation of the franchise that brought the beloved DC superheroes to life. But as luck would have it, the filmmaker had to leave the franchise for good, which led to the downfall of the cinematic universe. But among the rubble, we did find a valuable treasure in the form of Aquaman, which was directed by the legendary James Wan.
The film, which starred Jason Momoa as the titular superhero, became the most successful film that was released by Warner Bros. Discovery, amassing a staggering $1.14 Billion at the box office, all thanks to the efforts of the Conjuring series director. But fans saw that despite Wan’s efforts, all the credits for Aquaman were being given to Zack Snyder.
With many fans of the DCEU coming to Wan’s rescue, the debate has been waging on Twitter about how the filmmaker’s efforts were being given to someone who did absolutely nothing for the character’s development.
Whether you support the credits given to Snyder or you believe that Wan should get every praise he rightfully deserves, there’s no denying that both these talented filmmakers had a portion in making the film as well as the character great.

Why Was Aquaman Such A Massive Success?
While Joss Whedon’s Justice League might not have done justice to Jason Momoa’s character, Arthur Curry saw a revival in DCEU’s Aquaman with James Wan at the helm. From bringing an emotional backstory and style of narration to the film, along with a tinge of comedy and Wan’s signature horror flair, the film proved to be a rollercoaster ride for the audience members. Not to mention, the amazing CGI work as well as an equally impressive soundtrack also contributed to the film’s massive success.
