It’s safe to say that Pedro Pascal is currently TV’s leading man through his inclusion in several critically acclaimed shows over the years, including Narcos, Game of Thrones, and the ongoing series, The Last of Us. But the show that launched him into stardom and defined his legacy in the industry was The Mandalorian and it appears that the actor has some grand plans regarding the character.
With the critically acclaimed show forwarding to its third season, it appears that it will be a long while before Pascal drops the mantle of the compassionate bounty hunter, considering his immense love for the character.
Pedro Pascal isn’t leaving The Mandalorian anytime soon
With Pedro Pascal reprising the role of the compassionate bounty hunter in the third season of The Mandalorian, fans have been curious to know about the future of the character. And it appears that The Last of Us actor has no plans of leaving the role anytime soon. On being asked how long he sees himself in the role, Pascal answered by stating, “I think I will be playing the Mandalorian for the rest of my life.”
It appears that Pascal is moving forward in the direction of Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is known for portraying their respective characters of Rocky and Terminator for decades. And considering Pascal’s love for Din Djarin and the show, it’s understandable why the actor isn’t looking forward to dropping the mantle anytime soon.
It isn’t only the Narcos actor, who is looking forward to a long future for the character, one of the executive producers of The Mandalorian, Jon Favreau seems to share a similar vision.

In an interview with Total Film, Jon Favreau share that they have no endings in mind for the show. And continuing his explanation, Favreau went on to express his love for the characters and doesn’t expect the stories to end anytime soon. He stated,
“Quite the contrary, I love for these stories to go on and on. And so these characters potentially could be with us for a while, and I really love telling stories in their voice, and I love the way the adventures unfold, and I’m looking forward to doing much more.”
With the fourth season of The Mandalorian already in development, it’s obvious that the studios have some grand plans for the character moving forward. And Pedro Pascal is set for a long ride before leaving the role behind.
