As he told Esquire, he later relocated to Los Angeles, worked as a bouncer, and lived in a trailer, until landing a role in a Lifetime movie.
Momoa finally got an opportunity to play Aquaman in the 2016 superhero movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Fans and critics reacted positively to his portrayal of the character, which led to his own standalone film, Aquaman, released in 2018. The film was a major hit that brought in over $1 billion worldwide and made Momoa an acclaimed action star.
Despite hurdles and financial challenges, he persevered, polished his talents, and eventually rose to fame, becoming one of Hollywood’s most recognized actors today.
