With The Rock’s sudden change of heart, the rumor mills are working overtime with claims that the actor’s decision to be part of the film could be an attempt to salvage his reputation after the dismal failure of his DC film, Black Adam. Irrespective of the reasons, Johnson’s presence in Fast X will be a shot in the arm for the franchise to garner more publicity and hype for the film, ahead of its release.

Fast X will release in theaters on May 19th, 2023.
