Jessica Chastain has worked on various movies and with various actors as well. One particular role almost cost her a lot because of how large-scale it was. The actress got to once work with Emily Blunt in Snow White and the Huntsman: Winter’s War. Although the film was a box office disaster, everyone had a wonderful time while the shooting of the movie was going on.
A scene in particular was so hilarious for Chastain that things became rather complicated when it came to filming. Blunt could not stop talking about it and had to admit that it was difficult for her to be composed as well. Despite both of them being respected actresses, this one experience stood out for them.
Emily Blunt’s Weird Ride Made Jessica Chastain Crack Up
Emily Blunt recalled one incident while she was filming Snow White and the Huntsman: Winter’s War with Jessica Chastain. She was supposedly riding a wolf bear. Since the character was fictional, they used a mound covered in green screen to add CGI to it later. However, the way the actress was moving on was so hilarious that Chastain had to try her level best not to laugh.
“She knew if she made me laugh the whole shot would be ruined.” She added, “You’re talking about fifty horses, a hundred extras. The reset takes an hour.”
Blunt explained how if Chastain laughed then so would she and that would cost them both dearly. The set was rather difficult to build considering the manpower and horses that were involved already added over a hundred. The entire reset of the structure would take them hours and they were not willing to risk that. So they both decided to do their best and not laugh no matter how amusing Blunt’s situation was.
Emily Blunt Wanted A Horse
Emily Blunt remembered seeing the wolf bear for the first time. She added that describing it as a ‘wolf bear’ was something she chose to do and not what the creature actually was. The creature was in fact director Cedric Nicolas-Troyan’s creation. The actress was hesitant about having to ride a CGI creature everywhere and even asked him to replace it.
“Can you just give me a horse or something? Like a beautiful white stallion.”
She asked whether she could get a white horse instead that could match her character. However, the director refused and stated that she would love the creature once the final result came out. Despite seeing sketches of the wolf bear, she kept asking for a horse.
