According to reports, before the Rambo franchise became what it is today, several directors and producers in the 1970s attempted to make a film adaptation based on the 1972 novel First Blood by David Morrell. However, with the likes of Sylvester Stallone, the film based on Morell’s book became a massive hit in 1982 at the global box office.
