Recent times have witnessed Activision, the studio responsible for the famous Call Of Duty Video Game Franchise, attempting to remaster already established titles in the series. The Modern Warfare series remaster is the most recent example, with Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III getting released in November 2023.
Seeing how it is possible to relive the best video game title from one’s childhood, many now wonder if Activision will decide to remaster the Black Ops Series, especially the Black Ops II title, considering how it is the best-selling Call Of Duty title to date.
These dreams, however, might turn into reality, as a leaker recently revealed how a remaster of Black Ops II might be in development by Activision.

Leaker Reveals Call Of Duty Plans To Remaster Black Ops II
A leaker with nearly 9.3k followers on Twitter, @el_bobberto known for revealing major information about the upcoming Call Of Duty Modern Warfare III in the past too, has struck once again as they claim that Activision is planning to remaster multiple multiplayer maps from Black Ops II.
If the above-stated claim did turn out to be true, then it will prove that Activision just might have decided to release a remastered version of a game that everybody has played and loved in their childhood.
Why Black Ops II Getting A Remaster Is A Big Deal
With just over 30 million sales, Call Of Duty: Black Ops II is the most commercially successful title in the series yet, while naturally building a huge legacy along its name.
Another thing worth noting is how the original game, which was released in 2012, is based on a future timeline of 2025, which is the year the leaker has claimed Activision will be remastering multiplayer maps of the game. While it might not be a big deal, it does give hope to many that the studio just might try to bring back the nostalgia associated with the video game by remastering it.
Black Ops II also featured a famous zombie mode that is still loved today by many players, Something that is brought back, would bring unbelievable and never-before hype towards the game as millions will rush to relive those moments again.
