James Gunn is a highly talented and accomplished filmmaker known for his unique storytelling and bold vision. With his distinct style and knack for blending genres, Gunn has made a significant impact in the world of cinema. He is widely recognized for his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, particularly as the writer and director of the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, which brought a refreshing and irreverent approach to the superhero genre.
But Gunn won’t be seen in MCU anymore as the filmmaker has already switched sides by becoming the co-CEO of the DCU. By grabbing this new chair, the acclaimed filmmaker has introduced some major changes in the franchise to bring back the much-required attention to the DCU. But it looks like Gunn also has plans to introduce some MCU stars in the DCU. One such star is Pom Klementieff, who herself revealed that she is in talks with the co-CEO for a potential role.
James Gunn Shares That Pom Klementieff Is His Favorite Collaborator
Pom Klementieff, known for her role as Mantis in the Guardians of the Galaxy series, has shown keen interest in joining Gunn’s DCU. In an interview, Klementieff revealed that she is involved in continuous conversations with James Gunn regarding her possible involvement in the DC Universe.
“Yeah, Yeah, we keep talking.”
To this, the co-CEO of DCU replied through his Twitter handle, humorously marking that his conversation with the MCU’s beloved Mantis for a possible role in the DCU is still lesser than their conversation on cute cats videos which is much more often shared by Klementieff. Though Gunn also made it public that Klementieff is his favorite star to work and collaborate with.
Pom Klementieff Hints At Her Desired DCU Character To Play On-Screen
While details about Pom Klementieff’s potential role in the DC Universe remain undisclosed, the actress did offer a major hint about her possible role. Klementieff expressed her enthusiasm for one specific character in the DCU. The Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One star also shared that this particular character, as per her, is really cool.
“I’m not gonna tell you guys, but we’ve had conversations and we’re making plans already. But nothing is confirmed yet. There would be one specific character but I can’t tell you that. I knew about the character, and I thought the character was f**king cool.”
As James Gunn takes the helm at DC Studios, the question of which stars from his Marvel franchise will make the jump to the DCU becomes increasingly intriguing. Confirming ongoing conversations with Gunn about her involvement in the DCU, Klementieff’s statements have increased fans’ hope to see her as a major contributor in this new DCU.
