During the recent interactions between Microsoft and the US Federal Trade Commission, numerous documents have been released to help settle the court case, but those documents are not just from Microsoft, as there have even been documents that were given to the court by PlayStation development leader Jim Ryan.

The document in question is a letter sent by Jim Ryan to the FTC detailing that as of 2021, over one million PlayStation owners have only played Call Of Duty on their consoles; this means that over one million gamers have bought a brand new console just to solely play CoD, to even add to that point it was also noted that over 70% of PlayStation owners in 2021 have played over 100 hours of Call Of Duty.

There isn’t much information in regards to what CoD these gamers were playing, so it could just be that they bought an old Call Of Duty back in 2021 and played it for a certain amount of time and then never played it again, but this letter was sent to the FTC to show that if Microsoft can purchase Activision Blizzard and make CoD an Xbox exclusive game, it will majorly affect Activision Blizzard as many gamers on PlayStation will be left behind.

This information coming to light proves that Call Of Duty is a game that is played in large amounts on PlayStation and will be sorely missed, but this doesn’t mean that there aren’t alternatives, as there are numerous games that are similar to CoD which can easily replace it.
