Pierce Brosnan, the fifth actor to star as James Bond, has starred in four movies of the Bond Film Series from 1995 to 2002. Although he has gained a lot of fame through these hits and the role, his not-so-witty sense of humor cost him the role of ‘Batman’ in Tim Burton’s movie. Well, it is a very sad but still ‘funny’ joke as to what made him lose it. However, now he has been chosen for a superhero role that is expected to be a spectacular one.
Pierce Brosnan nearly had it but not quite so
Brosnan recently appeared in “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” where he talked about many things. To begin with, Fallon praised him and confessed to being a fan of Pierce Brosnan for both his acting and his painting talent. He had some of Brosnan’s paintings with him, one was “Earplugs” and the other, “Piccaso”.
Pierce Brosnan, after discussing the journey from paintings to movies, was questioned by Jimmy Fallon about the superhero roles. To which Brosnan replied that he had been offered one role way back. He was to play the role of Batman for Tim Burton’s “Batman” in the year 1989. For some reason, he thought of asking Burton a quick question. He tags that question as a “stupid joke”, which was about wearing underpants over the pants.
“I remember saying something stupid to Tim Burton. I said, ‘You know, I can’t understand any man who would wear his underpants outside his trousers.’

Pierce Brosnan believes it was fate to be chosen for the Dr. Fate role
The Batman role was given to Michael Keaton, who played the role well and is righlty appraised by Pierce Brosnan as the best man for the job. Although, he did not get the superhero role back in the 1980s, he is now to play the superhero role of Dr. Fate in the upcoming movie, “Black Adam”.
But there you go, the best man got the job, and you know, Doctor Fate and I were meant to meet on the same page, I think,” he said.
