Since the start of the Shibuya Arc, JJK fans have been excited for the story to unravel further. Many fans are waiting for their favorite character, Gojo Satoru to enter the Shibuya arc and unleash his power, just like the previous arcs. There is no doubt that currently, he is the strongest character and fan favorite. Although he is not the protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen, but he is by far the most powerful and influential character. Satoru Gojo, who is overpowered, can defeat everyone he comes across, including the fully-powered Sukuna.
Despite being one of the most loved characters of the series, he is hated by his creator, the mysterious Gege Akutami. There have been many instances where Creator Akutami has expressed their hate for the character.
Why does Gege Akutami hate Gojo Satoru?
Gege has repeatedly tweeted crude remarks against Gojo. According to Akutami, the major reason they despise Gojo is that they mistakenly made him too powerful as compared to other characters. As a result, Gojo’s presence in the plot made it impossible to come up with new, plausible dangers, which led Gege to build an unintentional hate for their invention. Akutami has made various statements such as “Something Gojo doesn’t have.. probably a personality” and “Now that Gojo is gone, it’s looking like 2020’s gonna be a good year” reflecting their hate for the character.
The precise reason why Akutami despises Gojo has never been revealed, but fans also assume that it may be due to Gojo’s unique nature. Gojo has a flashy personality that is very difficult to like as seen in the anime series. Gojo’s voice actor, Yuichi Nakamura, has also told the media how he disliked the character, finding him quite annoying.
Gojo Satoru Was Initially a Mob Character
Gojo, according to Akutami, is a mob figure with top-tier animation. Mob characters in anime are minor characters who are easily overlooked by spectators. These people have no essential role in the plot and serve just to fill up the background. But later on, seeing the hype for the character, Akutami had to focus on Gojo and develop him more in the story. Fans have tried many times to find out the exact reason for Akutami’s hate but have never been able to understand it.
Akutami once advised Gojo supporters to vote for Nanami rather than Gojo in an anime character popularity poll. In the Shibuya Arc too, Gojo plays an important role and his fight with Sukuna also hyped up the fans to the point that he got the same amount of love as that of any protagonist.
